North Grenville Council is looking for people to join the Affordable Housing Task Force. Council approved the terms of reference for the task force on Monday Night. Expressions of Interest to be a part of the task force are now being accepted.
Mayor Nancy Peckford says the terms of reference were drafted to maximize the expertise in the community.
The task force plans on researching and defining affordable housing in North Grenville, outlining the current need, reviewing funding opportunities and identifying enablers and inhibitors in the community.
Peckford says a final report will be brought back to council in one year. She says the task force will benefit from the expertise of municipal, county and provincial staff, along with members of council and the community.
