Holy Cross Children’s Choir enters music challenge

The kids at Holy Cross Catholic School are hoping to land some money for music programming. The children’s choir entered the CBC Music Challenge. The kids sang ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ for the competition.

Choir Director Kern Bloskie says there are six categories and Holy Cross is in elementary vocal. She says the judges will pick the top ten in each category on December 11.

There are about 80 kids, from grades one to six, in the choir.

Bloskie says winners will be picked on December 18. She says there’s a $5,000 prize up for grabs and the money will go towards things like instruments for the school.
