St. Mike’s Christmas Craft Show happening Saturday

The 19th annual St. Michael’s Christmas Craft Show will benefit local students and the Knights of Columbus food bank. The event is set for Saturday at St. Michael Catholic High School. It runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm.

Admission is $2 or a non-perishable food item. The money will go towards school council initiatives to support student learning and the food will be donated to the food bank.

Organizer Katy Ferguson says the show is one of the largest in eastern Ontario. She says there will be over 200 vendors this year.

Santa Claus will be making an appearance between 12:00 noon and 2:30pm. The Highland Dancers will be performing at 10:00am and 12:00 noon.

Ferguson says local sponsors help with passport prizes and donations overall.

High school volunteers are still needed for set-up and clean-up. Students can sign up through the main office.

Over 2,000 people stop by the craft show annually.
