The Sites of Remembrance project is finished. The special webpage linked to the municipal website highlights places throughout North Grenville with military significance. It went live last night during the committee of the whole meeting.
The webpage was put together by Probase Web. Owner Vince Murphy says the sites are listed on the page and a graphic appears when you roll over each one. There are also interactive maps and descriptions of each site.
The Sites of Remembrance proposal was brought forward in 2017 by Roy Brown. The project was approved by council back in September.
Brown was presented a special heritage award for his work. It was presented by Heritage Advisory Committee Chair Rowena Cooper. To check out the Sites of Remembrance, click here.Â
