Pet Valu raffling off items to raise money for two local cat rescues

Pet Valu in Kemptville is hoping to raise $2,000 for two local cat rescues. The store is running a raffle to bring in dollars for Furry Tales Cat Rescue and Spencerville and Area TNR Stray Cats Project.

Organizer Rhonda Onasanya says Pet Valu works with the rescues to adopt out animals. The store always has cats and kittens available for adoption on site.

This is the second year Pet Valu has run a raffle. Last year’s raffle brought in $1,800. So far, over $1,400 has been raised. There are 16 raffle items up for grabs.

Onasanya says local businesses have been very generous and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to the rescues.

Tickets are $5 each or three for $10. The raffle closes October 31. For more details, contact the store directly by calling 613-258-2459.
