Bridal Fashion Show brings in $6,000 for KDH

The Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary Bridal Fashion Show and Tea brought in $6,000 for the hospital. The sold-out event was held on September 23.

About 175 people filled the pews at St. John’s United Church in Kemptville to take in bridal gowns worn by Kemptville and area brides from the 1920s to the present day.

Models were escorted down the aisle by members of the North Grenville Fire Service. Attendees were treated to a high tea following the show. A number of items were raffled off, including a local firefighter. The money will go towards patient care at the hospital.

“Recognizing the multitude of demands on everyone’s support dollars, the auxiliary thanks you for choosing to give back to our community and improve the hospital, which we are so proud of and so fortunate to have close to home,” says organizer Linda Carnegie.
