Local firefighters are celebrating another successful boot drive for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The North Grenville Fire Service brought in $7,285 in just three hours on September 7.
Firefighters were out collecting donations in front of the fire hall and at the Van Buren and Prescott intersection this year.
Organizer James Petersen says people came back two or three times to donate again to the boot drive.
Fire services have been fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy for the past 60 years.
Petersen says the success of the boot drive this year is thanks to everyone who donated and the firefighters who volunteered their time.
