The Harry Pratt Memorial Raffle is about to make someone $10,000 richer. The draw date is set for this Saturday at 10:00pm. The raffle is being run by the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation to bring in dollars for the hospital. Tickets are still available for the draw. The cost is $20 each or three for $50.
Foundation Community Engagement Manager Mary Boucher says the money will go to the compassionate care fund, which is used to buy things that improve patient care.
The draw was supposed to take place at the Casino Night fundraiser, but the event has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. It will now be held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
Boucher says a member of Pratt’s family will draw the winning ticket.
