The Transportation Safety Board has released their findings on last year’s tragic bus and train collision in Barrhaven. According to investigators, no cause or determining factor has been found, however the bus was travelling 67 kms per hour at the time of the crash; seven kms over the 60 kilometre per hour limit. The coroner found no drugs, alcohol or medical issues as factors in the incident. The TSB has sent letters of recommendation to the City of Ottawa regarding bus speed monitoring and distracted driving. The investigation is ongoing.
