The 2018 Municipal Election in North Grenville is underway. The nomination period officially closed at 2:00pm today.
There are four candidates for mayor. Incumbent David Gordon is seeking his third term. He is being challenged by Councillor Jim Bertram, Nancy Peckford and Elwood Armour.
Eight people have thrown into their hats to run for councillor. Incumbents Frank Onasanya and Barb Tobin are seeking re-election. Onasanya is vying for his second term and Tobin is seeking her fourth. Also running are Kristin Strackerjan, Doreen O’Sullivan, John Barclay, Deron Johnston, Jim McManaman and Craig McCormick.
The 2018 Municipal Election is set for October 22.
