OC Transpo buses pulled over for a minute of silence this morning in a solemn tribute to the six people killed one year ago today, when a double decker bus collided with a Via Rail passenger train. Flags will fly at half mast at city buildings from sunrise to sunset to honour Michael Bleakney, 57, Connor Boyd, 21, Karen Krzyzewski, 53, Kyle Nash, 21, Rob More, 35 and the driver Dave Woodard, 45. After consulting with the victims’ families, OC Transpo also decided to retire route #76, renaming it 72. The Transportation Safety Board is expected to provide an update on its investigation into the crash next Wednesday, Sept. 24.
