A man was arrested with a loaded handgun after shots were fired in the Sandy Hill area of Ottawa. Just after 5pm on Sunday, August 31st, Ottawa Police responded to the 500 block of Chapel Crescent to several reports of shots being fired. A man appeared to be fleeing the vicinity; police chased on foot and caught the man who carried a loaded 9mm semi-automatic Glock handgun. 22-year-old Phillip McGuffie of Ottawa was arrested and appeared in court September 1st.
