Homelessness in Leeds and Grenville is often not apparent and the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville is taking steps to measure the issue.
In May of this year a week long enumeration is planned to take place and will survey individuals who are staying in shelters, temporary housing are who are sleeping unsheltered. The week has been given the title #ShareYourStoryLG and the data collected will improve our understanding of the needs and circumstances of people who are affected by homelessness in our community.
A local steering committee has been formed of various social agencies and any organizations interested in participating should contact the Housing Department as soon as possible at 613-342-3840 ext. 2328 to make
