If you’re driving down Concession Road a little too quickly, you’ll soon be warned to slow down.
The Municipality of North Grenville, with the financial help of the North Grenville Police Service Board, will be installing two new radar speed signs on Concession. The board says some past concerns from residents about speeding prompted looking at options that might deter speeding.
A study by the OPP also found that there was some speeding on that road. The hospital and two schools are located on Concession, in addition to residential areas.
The signs will display a different message depending on the speed you’re driving. They could caution you if you are just a little above the speed limit or tell you to slow down if you are speeding excessively.
The board will continue to look at options of installing more signs in the future based on budget and needs.
The signs are expected to go up later this week depending on weather and other factors.
