The Municipality of North Grenville has released their first draft of the budget for public comment.
The municipality has released a balanced budget that allocates over $26 million to fund projects from road re-construction, new play structure, a satellite fire station and continued improvements to the trail system. Around $13.5 million will be raised from Municipal taxes. This represents a 2% tax rate increase, which is on track with the Long-Term Financial Plan. The rest of the funding will come from grants, user fees, development charges and reserves. There is no borrowing in the 2018 budget.
