Wrapped in Courage campaign is back this November

The Wrapped in Courage campaign is back this Women Abuse Prevention Month.

November is Women Abuse Prevention Month province wide and the Leeds & Grenville Interval House wants you to show your support for victims of abuse by wearing a purple scarf or neck tie. This is the fourth year that a purple scarf will be used as a symbol of courage. The interval house stresses that the courage of women isn’t enough and that it takes an entire community to end violence against women.

According to the interval house on average between 20 and 30 women are murdered a year in Ontario alone. They add that it is the second most common reason for calls to emergency police services.

If you would like to purchase a purple necktie or scarf from the interval house you can contact Kimberley at [email protected] or 613-342-4724 extension 104.
