The Municipal Council of North Grenville has acknowledged the fundraising efforts of a local community activist.
John Spero was presented with a certificate of recognition during this week’s council meeting after raising over $14,000 during the Parkinson’s Super Walk in Ottawa. Spero suffers from Parkinson’s but continues raising money to help find a cure.
Mayor David Gordon presented Spero with the certificate and called him an inspiration to the community. Spero presented every member of council with a t-shirt from the walk after receiving his certificate.
