The Municipality of North Grenville is asking for the public’s opinion on a helmet regulations they are debating.
Since safety is always the municipality’s primary goal they are drafting a helmet policy that would make protective headgear mandatory, with some reasonable exceptions like figure skaters. Now the municipality are asking for community feedback so they can better understand the impact and barriers that some ice users might encounter if this policy was put in place.
Interested community members can find a draft of the proposed policy, and related survey, on the town’s website. Paper copies of the survey are available at the Municipal Office and North Grenville Public Library. Survey responses must be in by November the 14th.
