Volunteers on the Kemptville District Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Committee have been recognized.
Because National Volunteer Week was last week, KDH wanted to acknowledge this new kind of hospital volunteer.
Patient and Family Advisors provide direct input into policies, programs and practices that affect the services at KDH.
The committee was created in August of last year once KDH committed to Patient and Family Centered Care. That philosophy looks for patients and families to take a stake in the care process, both in their care, and at the decision-making table.
Currently, 10 advisors are involved at KDH.
