North Grenville Canada Day celebrations to be better than ever

The North Grenville Canada Day Committee has your July 1st all planned out for you. In Kemptville, the day is centred around Riverside Park. Committee member Gina Race says the day will start with breakfast at the Legion, followed by activities for all ages beginning at 11. There will be face painting, battle of the bands, a volleyball tournament, zumba, a free public swim and at the skate park, an even bigger and better event than last year.

The village of Oxford Mills will also host traditional Canada Day festivities with free birthday cake, live music and a community tug of war competition.

Back to Kemptville for the parade at 4pm – they are looking for more participants so head to the municipal website for free registration. Live music and fun continues at Riverside Park through the evening, with fireworks to cap off the day at dusk.
