At its regular Council meeting on June 13th, the Council of the Village of Merrickville-Wolford authorized its Interim CAO/Clerk, Arie Hoogenboom, to start the recruitment campaign for a new permanent CAO/Clerk. Former CAO/Clerk Jill Armstrong has been on leave since December 2015. Armstrong was the Merrickville-Wolford Clerk since 2002 and CAO since 2006. Council wished her well in her future endeavours.
The Village’s senior management position is to be advertised extensively with a closing date of mid-July. The Interim CAO/Clerk will continue on a part-time basis during the transition.
