Canada Day in Kemptville has something for everyone, all day long

As you make your plans to celebrate Canada’s 147th birthday on July the 1st, the Kemptville Canada Day Committee has a full day of activities planned for the whole family. At 8am the Royal Canadian Legion hosts breakfast, and the beer tent opens at 11. Keller Williams Solid Rock Realty will hold a mixed volleyball tournament from 10am, also in Riverside Park. The annual Canada Day Parade leaves from the B&H parking lot at 12 noon; grab a spot along Prescott Street to watch the floats pass by. Bring your non-perishable food items for the food bank and the Rotary Club of Kemptville will collect them along the parade route. After the parade, the Kids’ Zone at Riverside Park will entertain from 2 to 6, when live music from local bands CAMP, Phlatline and Age of Wisdom keep things rocking til the sun goes down. That’s when the fireworks start, at dusk. For more info, go to www.bcdaccounting.com.
