North Grenville Chamber of Commerce hosts an All Candidates Meeting

A crowd came out to the North Grenville Municipal Centre last night to hear from 5 local candidates running in this Thursday’s provincial election. The Green, Libertarian, Liberal, NDP and PC parties were represented and candidates provided opening statements before answering questions posed by the public. Those questions covered breaks to help small businesses, wage freezes, energy costs, health care and funding for the arts. The NDP candidate used the opportunity to point out flaws in the other party platforms, while the other candidates maintained a fairly positive outlook. Things got a little heated when a passionate supporter of the arts accused Steve Clark of not answering her question directly. The event was organized by the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce to help residents make an informed decision on voting day.
