Rideau Woodland Ramble named Garden Centre Destination of the Year

A Burritts Rapids garden centre is gaining recognition nation-wide. The Rideau Woodland Ramble has been named Canadian Garden Centre Destination of the Year by The Canadian Garden Council. Dave Dunn, co-owner of the 15-year-old operation with his partner Rob Caron, said the award is a big endorsement of their hard work and especially meaningful as they are located “out in the middle of nowhere.” The seven-acre gardens, known for their impressive collection of hostas and perennials, features a walking tour that attracts garden tourists from as far away as Europe. The Ramble also hosts a number of events, and a plant sale. For more info, head to www.rideauwoodlandramble.com.

The Canadian Garden Council was created to bring the garden tourism industry together.
