Some North Grenville residents say people are trying to sell them water filter services door-to-door.
The North Grenville Emergency & Protective Services Department says it’s been receiving complaints from residents about the door-to-door sales. It says that no municipal license for door-to-door sales have been issued at this time and anyone operating this way is doing so without a license.
The municipality is warning residents that if a salesperson shows up at your door selling goods or services related to water filters, home energy, heating, or any similar sales, you should request to see their Municipal Sales Licence. If they can’t produce it, please report the company name, salesperson’s name, any vehicle information to By-Law Services at (613)258-9569 ext. 206 or the OPP at (613) 258-3441.
