MPP Clark slams government for lack of initiative to encourage small business

Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark has come forward to slam the provincial government over their lack of initiative to encourage small business.

Clark pointed to the specific case of a tech-based start up company in Kanata, SimFront Simulation Systems.

With the company applying for an $800,000 dollar tax credit, Clark found out that SimFront had waited a year to hear that they were even eligible, and then found out another 20 weeks later that it could be six months before they could receive the tax credit.

Clark has labelled the Wynne government “indifferent” to new business in Ontario, with SimFront having to put new hires and business projects on hold waiting for the tax credit.
