A group of parents is trying to stop the potential closure of Oxford-on-Rideau Public School. Two members of the group Brent Lekx-Toniolo and Jen Monk presented to North Grenville Council last night explaining why the school, in their view, should remain open. Lekx-Toniolo and Monk asked for council’s backing.
Council passed a motion supporting the community group and their initiative to fight to keep the school open. Deputy-Mayor Barb Tobin said the group needs to approach the ARC meeting with a solution.
Council also advised that the group make sure they are heard at the meeting.
