Health Unit asking people to get tested for Hepatitis with World Hepatitis Day taking place this Thursday

The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit wants people to get tested for Hepatitis. That’s the message they’re trying to convey as World Hepatitis Day takes place this Thursday. Public Health Nurse Lisa Miller says you might not even know you’re infected.

Miller says people who have had blood transfusions years ago, have piercings or tattoos and people who have used injection drugs are at higher risk. You can get tested for Hepatitis. It’s a simple blood test. Find out more by visiting www.healthunit.org.
