Just after 6pm yesterday North Grenville Fire Service and Edwardsburg Cardinal Fire Department responded to 407 Latimer Road for a detached garage fire. Prior to arrival the fire had spread to the adjacent house. It took fire crews half an hour to get the fire under control. The four occupants of the house, two adults and two children, escaped without injury. No firefighter or civilian injuries as a result of the fire. The homeowner had insurance on his property. The fire has been ruled accidental. A mechanical issue with the lawn tractor is suspected to have caused the fire.
