Sam’s Annual Fishing Derby & Breakfast Bar

Sam’s Annual Fishing Derby & Breakfast Bar will be taking place on Saturday, June 24th! Join Library Sue at the dock in front of Salamanders Restaurant anytime between 9 am – 11:30 am. A breakfast bar will be available and donations to the Sam Tobias picture book collection will be accepted.

Sam Tobias was a young child from Kemptville, who had a love for fishing and enjoyed visiting the North Grenville Public Library, especially Sarah’s Circle with Library Sue. Sam is remembered dearly by the community and an annual fishing derby is held in his memory to raise funds for “Sam’s Book Collection”. Through his collection, his love of books lives on.
