Jacqueline Harrison’s Rink from Mississauga defeated Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni 8-6 in the final of the Royal LePage OVCA Women’s Fall Classic in Kemptville. Harrison picked up the first place cheque of $5,500, Tirinzoni won $3,000 as the runner-up.
Ottawa teams took home some cash as well.
Teams skipped by Ottawa’s Jenn Hanna and Rideau’s Rhonda Varnes each won $2,000 as semi-finalists, and teams skipped by The RCMP Club’s Cassandra Lewin and Ottawa’s Lauren Horton each won $1,250 as quarter-finalists.
