A man has drowned while swimming in the Miron Quarry in Barrhaven. Ottawa Police say the man was reported missing by friends Sunday evening. His body was recovered around 3:30 Monday morning. The Miron Quarry has been declared off-limits by police but it remains a popular swimming hole. The name of the drowning victim is not being released until his family has been notified.
