The donations have been counted and the total is $51,000 raised for the Canadian Cancer Society at the May 22nd Relay for Life event in Perth. Twelve schools from the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario took part in the annual event at St. John Catholic High School. Over 350 staff and students took part in the 12-hour event, which involves walking the track around a sea of candles lit for loved ones touched by cancer.
