The Kemptville District Hospital is currently unable to offer mammography services.
Officials at the hospital say that their mammography machine is experiencing technical issues and while the service provider has been investigating and trialing different solutions, they have been unable to repair it.
They say sourcing the necessary parts has proven to be challenging due to the age of the equipment and it’s unknown if they will be able to fix it at all.
KDH officials say they understand the importance of mammography service and they are actively investigating options, including reaching out to providers and hospitals in our region.
They say they will provide an update when more information becomes available.
