Augusta Township receives donations for fire rescue equipment

Augusta Township is using two donations to equip its fire department with life saving tools.

Earlier this week, The Augusta Firefighter’s Association presented a cheque to the township for $23,000, along with an additional $5,000 from Chevron Construction,

The funds will go to the purchase of new battery-powered electric jaws of life, included in the township’s 2025 budget, with the total cost of the equipment coming in at $57,000.

The Augusta Firefighter’s Association has raised over $380,000 in the past decade to help purchase equipment and support fire services.
