Conservative Michael Barrett says it’s an honor and a privilege to be elected for the fourth time.
In a close federal election race on Monday night, Barrett was reelected to serve the Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes riding in Ottawa.
First elected in 2018, Barrett says the number one issue he heard about while out campaigning and knocking on over 14,000 doors is affordability.
Barrett tells Moose FM that people should be able to go after what they want in life.
“If you work hard you’ll be able to afford a home on a safe street where you can live comfortably, where you’re able to afford to feed yourself and your family, you’re able to retire and to live with dignity.”
Liberal Lorna Jean Edmonds finished a close second while NDP candidate Paul Lancoine finished a distant third.
