Canada still atop the hockey world after winning 4Nations Face-Off

Canada can still lay claim to being the best in the world on the ice.

Connor McDavid scored in overtime, his third marker of the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off, and Canada defeated the U.S. 3-2 to win the tournament on Thursday night.

It’s the fourth straight best-on-best international men’s hockey tournament that Canada has won.

Ottawa Senators players Brady Tkachuk and Jake Sanderson had the goals for the American side in the game.

Canadian forward Nathan MacKinnon, who had four goals in event, was named the Most Valuable Player.

The next best-on-best tournament will be in one year at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.
