A sexual assault investigation in Leeds County has resulted in the arrest of a 61-year-old suspect.
Leeds OPP say they began a joint investigation with Family and Children Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville shortly after 2;30 p.m. on January 28.
Police say they received reports that the suspect had sexually assaulted a child.
Leeds OPP’s Crime Unit assisted with the investigation and the suspect now faces charges including two counts of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault under a person 16-years-of-age.

The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to next appear in court in Brockville on Friday.
The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
