Canada Post says on-time service guarantees have returned for domestic parcels

Canada Post said they have reinstated on-time service guarantees and returned to full service levels for domestic parcels.

The corporation expressed gratitude to Canadians via a media release for “their patience these past few weeks” as they have worked to restore normal operations while managing “significant holiday volumes.”

On-time service guarantees have resumed for domestic parcels received as of Monday (Jan. 6).

Parcel delivery has “returned to normal processing and delivery levels across the country, including in rural and remote areas.”

Canadians should continue to expect delivery delays for transaction mail, including letters, bills and statements as they continue to process accumulated mail alongside new mail.

Business customers should also expect a delivery delay of several days, as there is a significant amount of neighbourhood mail to be processed and delivered.

Accumulated international volumes are being worked through at a “good pace”, and customers should expect several days delay for incoming items from abroad.
