Remember to put safety first when clearing snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks and parking lots

You are being reminded that clearing snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks and parking lots is no small job.

That is from the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute which says that, when using a snow blower, you should do things like review the owner’s manual and check your equipment.

You should also store and use fuel properly and dress properly for winter weather.

Officials say you should always use a clean out tool to unclog snow or debris from the snow thrower.
