Candidates are beginning to throw their hats into the ring with a provincial election on the horizon.
After running in the 2022 Ontario election, Fiona Jager has been nominated as the candidate for the Green Party in the 2026 election in the Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes riding.
She will be running against current PC MPP Steve Clark and other candidates who have yet to announce that they are running.
In a statement released by the party, the Green party says Jager is a registered nurse and nursing professor with a focus on community outreach, mental health, and addiction.
The next Ontario election is scheduled for 2026 but many are speculation that we could see it called earlier.
