Update: Teen charged in school threat investigation to have bail hearing Tuesday

A teenager charged in an anonymous threat investigation involving a Kemptville school has a bail hearing scheduled.

The 14-year-old from Nova Scotia, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested following threats made against St. Michael Catholic High School, beginning Sept. 12 and continuing until Oct. 17.

He appeared in court virtually earlier this month and is represented by Felicia O’Hara, a Brockville-based lawyer.

At that time, she asked for the suspect to be brought back to court virtually on Tuesday for a bail hearing.

The school was closed several times because of the threats and the teen faces numerous charges including uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, indecent communications and public mischief.

He also faces similar charges in the United States.
