Halloween forecast not looking too frightening

The weather for Halloween in our region isn’t looking too scary.

Environment Canada is calling for mainly sunny skies Thursday.

Cloudy conditions are expected for afternoon and a daytime high of 22 degrees.

Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the high could even exceed the record for day of 22.2 degrees set back in 1942.

He adds that it will remain nice out for when trick or treaters are out collecting their candy.

“Trick or treat temperature maybe a few hours after that maximum, probably around 19 (degrees), still well above normal for this time of the year and right now it looks like pretty dry conditions as well.”

The frightening weather might come Friday, to welcome in November, with a daytime high of 12 degrees expected.
