The streak of beautiful weather we’ve been seeing is going to be sticking around a few more days.
Environment Canada Senior Climatologist Dave Phillips says we’ve been experiencing above normal temperatures for the past six or seven weeks.
While we haven’t seen any days in that stretch where the daytime high went over 30 degrees, compared to six of those during the same timeframe last year, Phillips says the weather has been boosted by a lot less rain.
Phillips says it’s important to get out and enjoy it while it’s here.
“This is why we live here, it’s so gorgeous, it’s delightful, and boy it’s got legs, it wants to carry on.”
It’s expected we will see a cool down later in the week with the high 10 degrees on Saturday and eight degrees on Sunday.
