Police are reminding you about some safety tips if you are ever traveling in an unfamiliar area.
It comes after Grenville County OPP say they located a lost person on Friday afternoon in the Limerick Forest, near Edwardsburgh Cardinal.
According to police, a person called them shortly before 2:30 p.m. and reported they had gotten lost in the forest with their two dogs. One of the dogs was older and was unable to walk any further because of dehydration.
Police talked to the lost person on the phone, found them and everyone went home in good health.
If you are traveling in an area you do not know, police say you should do things like letting someone know where you are going and for how long and start out with a fully charged phone.
