Work is underway for the new CT scanner at the Kemptville District Hospital.
Hospital officials say pre-construction started on Monday with the removal of the parking island and cement curbs around the new CT modular cassette space.
The prefabricated addition will be located at the back of the hospital around the corner from the emergency room.
It’s expected the modular unit will arrive before Christmas and will house the CT scanner and tie into the hospital’s diagnostic imaging department.
KDH officials say that construction delays have pushed the anticipated opening date of the scanner by a few weeks, to early 2025, but work is being done to see how much time can be made up.
