Chesterville man closer to collecting lottery prize

A Chesterville man is one step closer to claiming a lottery prize worth over $405,000.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Robert Paquette won the prize in the Aug.9, 2024 Lotto Max draw.

As one of Robert’s immediate family members works for an authorized OLG retailer, OLG says the claim falls within their definition of an insider win.

Claims of $10,000 or more made by insiders require enhanced review and validation as well as a 30-day publication period prior to payment to ensure there are no additional claims on the winning ticket.

The prize will be paid Paquette on October 25 if there are no additional claims prior to that date.

The ticket was purchased at MacEwen on Main Street in Chesterville.
