Kemptville 73’s preparing for opening night

Local hockey fans are about to get their first real look at their 2024-25 Kemptville 73’s.

The hockey club’s home opener is set for Friday night at the North Grenville Municipal Centre with the Nepean Raiders coming to town and the opening faceoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Kemptville opened up their 55-game regular season at the Central Canada Hockey League Showcase in Cornwall last weekend coming away with a win and a loss.

Head coach and owner Shawn Fensel says they have festivities planned for the fans who come out.

“Trying to add as much as we can for the fan experience and getting people in the seats to cheer on our team.”

After Friday night, Kemptville is on the road for their next three games and they return home on October 4 when they host Renfrew.
