Stolen equipment and recreation vehicles found in Prescott

A large amount of stolen recreation vehicles and construction equipment has been recovered by police in Prescott.

Grenville County and Leeds County OPP say they received numerous reports of stolen property throughout the region since last spring.

A search warrant was used by officers on Tuesday night at a property in the town where one person was found and arrested.

Two ATVs, construction tools, a trailer, two kayaks, a boat, a motorcycle and a pick-up truck along with a quantity of suspected cocaine and rifle ammunition was also found and seized by police.

Thirty-nine-year-old Matthew Beaton faces a raft of charges including four counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Brockville in October.
