Carleton University and security staff from OPSEU Local 404 have reached a tentative agreement. Security has been on strike since March 10th, with a picket line set up at the Bronson Avenue entrance to the school. During the strike action, guards were replaced by a private company. While details of the new deal are not being released until after a ratification vote by members and the university, the patrol services staff were seeking higher pay, better benefits and more job security.
